Founders

The founding team.

RT

Rob Tenniswood, MBA

Chief Executive Officer

Rob founded Garde in 2025 to bring a more accurate, lower-cost prostate cancer test to market. He spent more than a decade in translational R&D, presented at the American Urological Association, and was part of the team that earned an FDA Breakthrough Device Designation and shipped a CLIA-certified molecular test.

MT

Martin Tenniswood, Ph.D

Chief Scientific Officer

Martin has spent decades at the intersection of academic and translational prostate cancer research. He leads Garde's scientific direction and the design of the Garde Prostate Test.

WW

Winnie Wang, Ph.D

Lead, Research & Development

Winnie co-founded Garde and leads research and development. At the team's prior company, she took a molecular diagnostic from concept through CLIA certification.

GD

Greg DiRienzo, Ph.D

Lead, Biostatistics

Greg co-founded Garde and leads biostatistics, building the analytical foundation behind the supervised machine learning model that translates the molecular signal into clinical risk.

Track record

This isn't the team's first diagnostic.

The founders previously shipped a high-complexity, CLIA-certified molecular test that earned FDA Breakthrough Device Designation. The underlying science spans hundreds of peer-reviewed publications.

Garde is built on independent IP with a more focused architecture, designed for lower cost and broader access.

REGULATORY

FDA Breakthrough

Device Designation granted to the team's prior test.

CLINICAL

CLIA certified

A urologic oncologist and surgeon scientist at the Vancouver Prostate Centre. Miles's clinical research program is focused on improving the diagnosis and treatment of localized prostate cancer.

SK

Stuart Kozlick, MASc

Strategy Advisor

Stuart advises Garde on commercial strategy, partnership development, and go-to-market planning across reference labs and contract sales organizations.

MF

Michael Fergusson

Former Chief Executive Officer of Ayogo Health and former board member of Innovate BC. Michael brings operating experience scaling digital health and connected-care products.

Clinical partner

Validation study with the Vancouver Prostate Centre.

The Vancouver Prostate Centre, one of the leading translational prostate cancer research centers in North America, will conduct Garde's 600-patient validation study, led by Dr. Miles Mannas, urologic oncologist at the VPC.

The partnership combines Garde's molecular platform with the VPC's clinical expertise and patient cohort to rigorously evaluate test performance.
